The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga officially received a fully equipped mobile kitchen from the DSWD Central Office on April 3, 2025.

Aimed at ensuring the timely delivery of essential food services during emergencies, the mobile kitchen will play a crucial role in supporting displaced families and individuals when traditional food supply chains are disrupted or inadequate.
DSWD Caraga Regional Director Mari-Flor Dollaga, along with Assistant Regional Director for Operations (ARDO) Jean Paul Parajes, Disaster Response Management Division Chief Aldie Mae Andoy, and other staff, formally signed and received the unit in the presence of colleagues.

Equipped with state-of-the-art cooking facilities, the mobile kitchen enables responders to prepare meals efficiently and hygienically. It will be strategically deployed to disaster-affected areas, particularly in evacuation centers and remote communities where access to food services may be limited.
This initiative is part of the DSWD’s broader efforts to strengthen disaster preparedness and response mechanisms nationwide. With climate-related and natural disasters becoming more frequent, the mobile kitchen will serve as a vital resource in ensuring food security for vulnerable populations during emergencies.
