BUTUAN CITY – In a bid to make government services more accessible to solo parents, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga, in collaboration with various government agencies, launched a One-Stop Service Caravan at the SM City Butuan Events Center on April 22–23, 2025.
The two-day caravan aims to empower solo parents by bringing essential government programs and services under one roof, reducing barriers to access and fostering a more inclusive support system.
Participating agencies are offering a range of services, including the following:

– Technical assistance and consultations on social welfare programs
Department of Health (DOH)
– Distribution of information, education, and communication (IEC) materials
– Free medical consultations and health education
PhilHealth
– Membership registration and updating services
– Orientation on benefits and claims processing
National Housing Authority (NHA)
– Information on available housing programs
– Application assistance for housing support
Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA)
– Skills training opportunities
– Scholarship orientations
– Assessment for program registration
City Social Welfare and Development Department (CSWDD) – Butuan
– Application and renewal of Solo Parent Identification Cards
– Additional social support services
Public Attorney’s Office (PAO)
– Free legal consultations
-Assistance with legal documentation and notary services
The initiative underscores the government’s ongoing commitment to uplifting the lives of solo parents by providing accessible, responsive, and comprehensive support services.
