Butuan City – The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga, through the Protective Services Division (PSD) Sectoral Unit, facilitated a 2-day capacity-building activity for the regional officers of the Kalipunan ng Liping Pilipina (KALIPI) today, May 22, 2025.

The activity aimed to strengthen the officers’ leadership and management skills, enhance their capacity to sustain organizational operations at the regional level, and enable them to cascade the learning to their respective local associations.

It also served as a venue for participants to raise issues and concerns related to the organization’s functions, responsibilities, and sustainability, particularly focusing on a bottom-up approach.

KALIPI Nasyonal Inc. is a national federation of women’s organizations formed in 1990 under the DSWD Bureau of Women’s Welfare and formally registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in 1996. It is a community-based partner that advocates for the rights and welfare of disadvantaged and marginalized women, empowering them to actively engage in community development.
