TANDAG CITY – The payout for beneficiaries of the Social Pension for Indigent Senior Citizens (SocPen) Program was conducted across barangays in Tandag City on June 4, 2025.

The program, implemented under the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga, is now carried out through the Transfer of Fund Modality starting this year. Through this approach, the local government of Tandag, via the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), takes the lead in the distribution of the pension.

Each qualified senior citizen received Php 3,000.00, equivalent to their three-month pension for the second quarter of 2025.

Despite the shift in implementation strategy, DSWD Field Office Caraga retains responsibility for validating beneficiaries and closely monitoring each payout to ensure accurate, orderly, and peaceful program delivery.
