Growing up in a modest household was never easy for Trisha Mae Aubrey Moran. Her father worked as a sikad driver, tirelessly pedaling through scorching heat and pouring rain just to put food on their table. Her mother, a devoted housewife, supported the family by repacking chicharon as a small sideline. With three younger brothers and a sister, their daily life was filled with challenges—but giving up was never an option.
As the eldest child, she carried the weight of responsibility on her shoulders. There were moments of doubt—times when the struggles almost broke her. But she held on to hope, constantly reminding herself that one day all the sacrifices would be worth it. Through it all, she was never truly alone.
The Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) became a blessing to their family. It offered meaningful support—covering school supplies, fees, and daily allowances they couldn’t always afford. It eased the burden on her parents and allowed her to focus on her studies without worrying about their financial situation.
This year, Trisha proudly graduated from Caraga State University with a Bachelor of Elementary Education degree, graduating Cum Laude—a milestone she once thought was beyond her reach. She attributes this achievement not only to her hardworking parents but also to the 4Ps Program that supported her throughout her journey. She remains deeply thankful to God for His faithfulness and for using this program as a tool to help students like her reach their dreams.
To every student still facing hardships, she offers a word of encouragement: keep going—she’s been in your shoes. She expresses heartfelt gratitude to everyone who believes in the future of youth like her.
