Relative to the ongoing Listahanan validation activities in the region, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga recently conducted technical sharing with the Listahanan Field Workers assigned in Agusan del Sur and Surigao del Sur clusters.
Headed by the newly promoted NHTS Regional Field Coordinator, Adelito T. Mendoza, The NHTS Regional Program Management Office (RPMO) met with the Area Supervisors and provided technical assistance in order to effectively and efficiently perform their supervisory functions, especially to their enumerators who’s on the front line in assessing households.
As of January 20, 2021, a total of 30,913 and 27,435 households were assessed in Agusan del Sur and Surigao del Sur respectively. The continued weather disturbance in the region caused the delay of the assessment which hindered the completion of the activities. However, the section is still on track with the timeline set by the DSWD Central Office relative to the validation and finalization activities.
For Surigao del Norte and Agusan del Norte, enumerators are currently conducting the household assessment, while the Province of Dinagat Islands are accepting grievances from the community based on the initial list of poor households posted at the barangay hall.
During the activity, the Area Supervisors reviewed Household Assessment Forms (HAFs) from their colleagues as this will ensure the completeness of all the forms prior to the submission to the Field Office. Issues and concerns were also raised by the Area Supervisors and were addressed by the NHTS-RPMO. Another batch will be conducting the same activity for the other provinces in the upcoming days.
The receiving of grievances and conduct of household assessment are part of the Validation Activities of Listahanan which aims to facilitate the identification of wrong entries in the household records and inclusion of households not assessed during the Data Collection Phase. This is a critical phase since this will ensure that the database for the 3rd round household assessment (final list of poor households) is accurate. ### Social Marketing Section
