After the MOA signing done last August, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga has handed over the Disaster Vulnerability Assessment and Profiling Project (DVAPP) Database to the LGU of Mainit, Surigao del Norte last November 9, 2021.
The turnover was facilitated by Mr. Julieto L. Ompad, PDO-III of the Disaster Response Management Division (DRMD) and participated by the LGU’s Sangguniang Bayan Member Jerry D. Madera, Municipal Administrator Karen M. Faminial, Municipal Planning and Development Office – GIS Operator Eden Angeline Odtojan, and the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Officer Ann Ruvik F. Mondano.
The DVAPP turnover was transpired in view of the primary goal of ensuring the accuracy and precision of beneficiary tracking, calculation, and distribution of relief supplies. This is also to establish a clear database on the profile of families at the LGU level. Such effort is geared to strengthen community disaster preparedness at the barangay level.
The LGU, meanwhile, is expected to submit a report to the field office after the utilization of the database. This would contribute to the impact assessment of the project.
