Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Rolando Joselito D. Bautista led the inauguration ceremony of the Isolation Building at the Home For Girls (HFG), Brgy. Bonbon, Butuan City on December 13, 2021.
The Isolation Building was implemented under the Infrastructure Project in Residential Care Facilities in pursuit of the agency’s goal in taking extra measures to look after the welfare of its clients and employees amidst the threat of the Covid-19 virus.
Since Covid-19 pandemic struck, it has been DSWD’s concern to provide assistance to its clients, and ensure the safety of the employees who continue to serve the public.
The said facility has complete amenities such as refrigerator, sofa, TV, Air-condition, water dispenser, trash bins and hygiene kits.
Sec. Bautista accompanied by DSWD Field Office Caraga OIC-Regional Director, Ramel F. Jamen, OIC-Assistant Regional Director for Operations Jean Paul S. Parajes, and OIC-Assistant Regional Director for Administration Ramil M. Taculod, graced the unveiling of the marker and Ribbon Cutting, and the awarding of the level three (3) accreditation of the two (2) Residential Care Facilities of DSWD; Home For Girls in Butuan City and Regional Rehabilitation Center for Youth (RRCY) in Patinay-ay, Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur.
The awards were personally received by HFG Center head Marissa A. Garay and RRCY Center Head Vilma U. Bare.
In his welcome message, ARDO Parajes acknowledged the presence of Sec. Bautista together with the members of Regional Management Committee (RMANCOM), members of Regional Management and Development Conference (RMDC), representatives from Philippine National Police (PNP) and the staff and residents of the Home For Girls.
He also thanked the Secretary for his presence in the said ceremony and assertively hope Sec. Bautista will continue to support the projects of the Centers and Residential Care Facilities of DSWD Caraga.
“Today, December 13, 2021, we are truly blessed and grateful that our Secretary is here, gracing this occasion. We are very positive that the Honorable Secretary will still support us in our upcoming projects for Home For Girls.” he said.
Being the Honorary guest, Sec. Bautista, extended his gratitude to DSWD HFG, for inviting him to attend the said event and witness the tremendous improvements of the DSWD residential care facilities during his term.
“Nagpapasalamat ako at na-invite ako ni OIC-RD Jamen na maging isang panauhin para sa Ribbon Cutting, Unveiling of the Marker, and at the same time maipakita ang mga facilities dito. More importantly, yung awarding ng Level three (3) Center of Excellence. Nagpapasalamat din ako sa lahat ng mga nagkapit-bisig, lahat nang naghawak-kamay para maitayo at mapaganda natin ang ating pasilidad para sa ating mga Ate dito sa HFG at Kuya doon sa RRCY,” Bautista said.#
