A staff releases Php20,000 as Livelihood Assistance Grant to a beneficiary in San Agustin, Surigao del Sur.

A total of 123 families in Tandag City and San Agustin, Surigao del Sur received the Livelihood Assistance Grant from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga on July 20, 2022.

Through the Department’s Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP), the beneficiaries received a grant of Php15,000 each to fund their new or existing micro-enterprise projects or finance their expenses in securing pre-employment requirements.

Thirty (30) days after the release of grants, the DSWD-SLP and the local government units will conduct monitoring activities to track the progress made by the beneficiaries and their families.

The beneficiaries of this recovery program of the DSWD-SLP are households that belong to the low-income or informal sector whose livelihood activities have been severely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic or the onslaught of Tropical Storm Auring last February 2021. (Social Marketing Section/DSWD Field Office Caraga)
