Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office Caraga conducts AICS payout on March 29, 2023 for Agusan del Norte beneficiaries at the Provincial Capitol Covered Court, Capitol Drive, Butuan City.

 

Aside from medical, and burial assistance, the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation Program also provides assistance to beneficiaries in financial difficulties due to fuel hike and increase of prices of commodities. This is a partnership between DSWD Field Office Caraga, the Provincial Government of Agusan del Norte and the office of Senator Imee Marcos to help the poor, under served, and vulnerable but deserving constituents in the province.

 

From the referred 1,662 beneficiaries for crossmatching and validation, a total of 1,365 eligible families will receive the said assistance from the program of which majority of them are women in crisis, persons with disabilities (PWD), indigenous peoples (IPs), and solo parents.

 

The total disbursement for the said payout will amount to Php 4,095,000.00 or Php3,000.00 pesos financial assistance per beneficiary.

 

After the AICS payout held at the Agusan del Norte Provincial Covered Court in the morning, another set of beneficiaries from Nasipit, Agusan del Norte were provided with the same assistance in the afternoon at the Nasipit Municipal Gymnasium.

 

20 identified beneficiaries were initially invited for the Ceremonial Payout – these beneficiaries are also women in crisis, women with disabilities, and women who are solo parents. The beneficiaries were able to claim their Php 3,000.00 pesos financial assistance.

 

The Ceremonial payout is part of the municipality’s Women’s Month Celebration. DSWD will continue with the assistance payout with 1000 identified persons-in-crisis to be scheduled on a later date.

Senator Imee Marcos also graced the said activity, together with the local officials of the municipality of Nasipit. ###(Social Marketing Section/DSWD Field Office Caraga).
