The Regional Gender and Development Committee (RGADC) spearhead the annual celebration of Caraga Women’s Summit held at Balanghai Hotel and Convention Center on March 08, 2023, the.

 

Philippine Commission on Population Caraga Regional Director and chairman of RGADC Alexander Makinano recognized and welcomed all the member agencies, stakeholders, and LGUs who participated in today’s event. Dir. Makinano also reiterated in his message the role of the family in the society as how the Government emphasizes it in the family code.

 

“We celebrate the victory of the women sector and their continuous contribution in our society,” Dir. Makinano said.

 

Also in attendance is the supportive Governor of Agusan del Norte, Hon. Ma. Angelica Rosedell Amante who also delivered a special message highlighting the relevance of having close family ties in ensuring the safety of all family members. According to Gov. Amante, “it really starts in the family” – this Filipino culture keeps the members of the family safe from all forms of violence and abuses.

 

Aside from the program prepared for the Women’s summit, agencies were given the opportunity to share their programs and services through information booths, readily available for everyone in the crowd who were part of today’s observance of the celebration.
