DSWD Field Office Caraga conducts AICS payout in the different municipalities of Siargao Islands, on May 15-18, 2023.
Beneficiaries from different sectors receive financial assistance from the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations (AICS) Program.
Regional Director Mari-Flor Dollaga in her message in the series of payouts emphasized the importance of coordination and cooperation amongst stakeholders to be able to deliver quality social services to the beneficiaries with integrity.
“Kaning grasya na inyong nadawat, hinaot inyo ning gamiton sa sakto ug para gyud sa inyong mga panginahanglanon aron dili masayang ang pagpaningkamot sa gobyerno nga muabot kini nga gasa sa matag-usa (I hope that you use this blessing that you receive in the right way, utilize it for your family’s needs, so that the efforts of the government in making sure its services reach you won’t go to waste),” Dir. Dollaga reiterated the importance of using the assistance to buy necessities as it was intended as a little way of helping in alleviating lives.
Below are the corresponding beneficiaries from the different municipalites:
133 women and senior citizen sector in Dapa (Php3,000.00 each), 33 parents of children with stunted growth, mentally challenged individuals, and retired Barangay Health Worker from Sta. Monica (Php3,000.00 each), 33 Bantay Dagat, Street Sweepers, and Child Development Workers in San Benito (Php3,000.00 each), 25 women farmers fisher folks in Pilar (Php4,000.00 each), 33 indigent constituents of Burgos (Php3,000.00 each), 25 Child Development Workers in Del Carmen (Php4,000.00 each).
“From COVID to Odette, even until now. Ang iban nag panaw na pero ang DSWD nagpabilin ug tabang sa lungsod nan Pilar. Maraming salamat talaga sa DSWD (Others have come and gone but DSWD stayed and continued to help Pilar. Thank you so much DSWD).” Atty. Maria Liza Resurreccion, Municipal Mayor of Pilar, Surigao del Norte said in her message.
Moreover, Local Chief Executives from respective municipalities each expressed gratitude to the Agency in its efforts in delivering maagap at mapagkalingang serbisyo.
“Salamat karajaw sainjo kay makatabang ni sa among pamilya labi na sa among mga estudyante (Thank you so much to all of you because this can really help our family especially for our children),” Rosalinda Agustin, a Child Development Worker from Del Carmen expressed gratitude on behalf of the beneficiaries.
The series of pay outs is an effort of DSWD Field Office Caraga in rolling out the orders of DSWD Sec. Rex Gatchalian in the continued to delivery of social services to the poor, under-served, and vulnerable, especially in hard-to-reach areas.
