DSWD Field Office Caraga conducts Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) payot, June 18, 2023.

After cross matching and validation conducted by DSWD Caraga to determine and ensure beneficiaries are eligible, 4,357 financially in crisis individuals, collectively from Tandag City, Cortes, and Tago, Surigao del Sur received Php 3,000.00 each.

Hon. Alexander T. Pimentel, governor of the province of Surigao del Sur emphasized his gratitude to DSWD Caraga for its efforts in delivering the assistance to his constituents, that is despite the weekend.

“Daghang salamat sa mga taga DSWD (Big thanks to DSWD). Walay pahuway gikan pa sa pag validate ug pagpahigayon sa maong payout bisan pa man sa adlawng Domingo ni sila (They haven’t had rest from validation to the conduct of our payout even on a Sunday),” Pimentel said.

AICS serves as a social safety net or a stop-gap mechanism to support the recovery of individuals and families from unexpected crises such as illness or death of a family member, natural and man-made disasters, and other crisis situations.
