Butuan City – The Office of the Strategy Management (OSM) conducted a whole – day Technical Assistance to DSWD FO CARAGA last January 29, 2014. The session was participated by all Unit Heads, Division Heads, and Focal Persons.
Ma. Therese A. Adaya, OSM Training Specialist III and Marietta Thomasita Angeline T. Porio, OSM Organizational Development Specialist IV were the speakers of the said event. They presented the DSWD’s Performance Governance System (PGS) Journey.
PGS is adopted to improve public governance; to make substantial progress in poverty reduction; and to yield breakthroughs in delivery of social services, stakeholders’ satisfaction, and financial responsibility.
Part of the event was the sharing of the 2013 Breakthrough Goal Commitments (the Scoreboard Accomplishments and Updates, Strategic Goals 1-3); Breakthrough Strategies toward meeting 2013 BGs and OPCR Commitments; and the 2014 Breakthrough Goals and OPCR Commitments. Mr. Jean Paul S. Parajes, Planning Office/ PGS Focal Person and Mr. Ramil M. Taculod, MAA, pooled respectively.
This activity is part of the endeavour to firm up the organizational alignment to the identified strategic goals. This effort aims to gauge the process of cascading the strategies down to the units involved whether their respective breakthrough goals were successfully translated to lower level outcomes down to the last unit and the necessary interventions to facilitate the achievement of the strategic priorities of the Department.
“ Let us intensify ourselves more and further in all the things and resources available,” Regional Director Minda B. Brigoli, CESO III, said.
As a closing ceremony, participants were tasked to complete the statement: “ Habang ako ay nasa DSWD sisikapin kong…. This line served as a promise among the DSWD FO CARAGA Unit Heads, Division Heads, and Focal Persons to its commitment to the Department. ### (TDB/Social Marketing Unit)
