In Frame: On-going ESA payout in Barangay San Juan, Surigao City.

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga conducted an Emergency Shelter Assistance (ESA) payout, on November 13, 2023, for Surigao City beneficiaries whose houses were partially damaged by Typhoon Odette.

 

A total of 3,556 beneficiaries from the barangays of San Juan and Mabua in Surigao City received Php2,500 in assistance.

Emergency Shelter Assistance from the government through DSWD seeks to help disaster-affected families by providing financial assistance for the reconstruction of their damaged houses.

 

The said payout continued to the remaining municipalities of Surigao del Norte and other provinces of the Caraga Region
