As the chair of the Regional Committee for the Welfare of Children (RCWC), the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga never falls short in recognizing the importance of children in the community – so much so, the children in the lives of its Angels in Red Vest – November 17, 2023.
In line with the National Children’s Month (NCM) celebration, the Field Office invited children to wear their costumes to the Agency for fun, games, and food.
Regional Director Mari-Flor Dollaga emphasized the purpose of the activity, “Amo gyud ning gipaningkamotan kay isip mga ginikanan, kailangan pod nato og panahon kauban atong mga anak. Buhaton gyud namo ang tanan para sa inyo ug sa atong mga kabataan.”
The different divisions prepared gifts for the children while various booths were open for them to enjoy and invited clowns and a magician – ready with games and tricks that wowed the children.
FO Caraga would like to thank the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) for letting the kids engage and enjoy rappelling and experience putting off real-life fires.
The Agency continues to double the efforts in helping to boost children’s self-esteem, encourage positive behavior, create a sense of accomplishment, and build lasting memories for both parents and children.
Truly a MaCaragabatang Araw!
