The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga, under the leadership of Regional Director Mari-Flor Dollaga, remains committed to addressing the needs of internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Socorro, Surigao del Norte. In line with this commitment, Director Dollaga has continued dialogue and coordination efforts with Surigao del Norte Governor Robert Lyndon Barbers and other local officials for the Reintegration Plan for the Socorro Bayanihan Services Incorporated (SBSI) IDPs of Sitio Kapihan.

The Reintegration Plan aims to provide sustainable solutions for the displaced residents of Sitio Kapihan, ensuring their smooth transition back to their communities. Through ongoing discussions and collaboration, Director Dollaga, Governor Barbers, and their respective teams are working diligently to identify strategies that best support the community.

In addition, these dialogues provide an opportunity to pinpoint areas that require further improvement in the service delivery of DSWD in the province. Director Dollaga guarantees that these discussions are vital in enhancing the agency’s delivery of programs and initiatives, ultimately benefiting the communities it serves.

 

This initiative aligns with the directive of DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian, emphasizing the agency’s dedication to addressing social issues and ensuring the welfare of vulnerable communities. By fostering dialogue and cooperation among stakeholders, DSWD Field Office Caraga remains steadfast in its mission to uplift the lives of those in need and deliver essential services effectively.
