The Department of Socia Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga hosted a Consultation Dialogue of the National Pag-asa Youth Association of the Philippines (PYAP) Federation Officers for 2024 on May 7-10, 2024 at Surigao City.
Participated by the National PYAP Federation Officers, the DSWD Central Office Focal Person, the DSWD Field Office Caraga Sectoral Unit, and Resource Speakers from Regions VII and VIII, the national activity facilitated discussions among federation officers on the Unlad Kabataan Program.
The focus was mainly on the Leadership Training and Social Responsibilities modules to ensure that their current issues and concerns are considered in the proposed enhancement of the program.
The dialogue further served as a platform to approve the Constitution and By-Laws (CBL) and identify challenges and recommendations in sustaining the federated PYAP locally.
DSWD Caraga Regional Director Mari-Flor Dollaga, in her opening remarks, emphasized the crucial role of the youth in nation-building. She reminded the participants that the said dialogue is an opportunity to strengthen the mission of improving the lives of each youth member in the communities.
