The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga recently organized an orientation for Child Development Workers (CDWs) on the Enhanced Accreditation Tool for CDW and Child Development Center (CDC). The event took place on July 19, 2024, at Go Hotels, Robinsons Place Butuan, Butuan City.
The purpose of the orientation was to provide CDWs from the provinces, cities, and municipalities in Caraga with an opportunity to enhance their knowledge in the field of child development. It was a way for the Field Office to honor and support the vital work carried out by CDWs in the region.
In addition to the informative sessions, the orientation also included a special self-care session. This session was an initiative by the agency to express gratitude for the hard work and unwavering dedication of CDWs in building a strong foundation for the children enrolled in their respective Child Development Centers (CDCs). It provided a valuable opportunity for CDWs to prioritize their own well-being and self-care practices.
The Department of Social Welfare and Development, through this orientation, demonstrated its commitment to the continuous support and development of CDWs in Caraga. The event not only served as a platform for knowledge sharing but also highlighted the importance of self-care and appreciation for the invaluable contributions of CDWs in nurturing and educating the region’s children.
