San Jose, PDI- To promote the Listahanan 3 database, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga, conducted a Data User’s Forum to the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Officers (MSWDO) and Municipal Planning and Development Coordinators of the municipalities of the Province of Dinagat Islands (PDI) on August 22, 2024 at Langit Era Business Suites, Barangay Poblacion, San Jose, PDI.
In his welcome remarks, Assistant Regional Director for Administration Tristan Telen, through a recorded video message, encouraged the implementers to utilize the Listahanan datasets to identify and analyze the needs of vulnerable populations.
“As implementers of social protection programs and services, tapping into the rich information in the Listahanan database, you can enable to target resources more efficiently, design more effective programs, and ultimately, uplift the lives of those who need it most”, said ARDA Telen.
Regional Field Coordinator Adelito Mendoza provided a comprehensive overview of the requirements needed for obtaining the list of poor households. He also emphasized the role and responsibilities of the Department and the 2nd party as stipulated in the Data Sharing Agreement (DSA).
The forum also featured a presentation of the Regional Profile of the Poor in the Province of Dinagat Islands as well as the Data Privacy Act of 2012. The report revealed that a total of 13,537 poor households were identified as poor in the said province based on the result of Listahanan 3rd round household assessment.
The DSWD-Listahanan will continue offering technical assistance, particularly to LGUs that are eager to access the Listahanan 3 database.
