The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga conducted its Local Adaptation to Water Access and Breaking Insufficiency through Nutritious Harvest for the Impoverished or the Project LAWA at BINHI payout even on the weekend in Tagbuyacan, Santiago, Agusan del Norte, on July 13, 2024.
200 partner beneficiaries from Barangays Cadahondahonan and Tagbuyacan in Santiago, Agusan del received their 20-day compensation.
Projects they worked on were rehabilitating the water system, installing pipelines to supply water to Jose Flores Elementary School, establishing a school-based communal garden, and planting fruit-bearing trees.
The Local Adaptation to Water Access and Breaking Insufficiency through Nutritious Harvest for the Impoverished (LAWA at BINHI) project, along with other programs and services of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga, strives to address food and water security issues. By empowering individuals to plant and manage available resources, the project fosters sustainability and ensures that no one goes hungry.
