The Agusan Sur Rice Farmers Federation Inc. an Irrigators Association from National Irrigation Administration (NIA) and a registered Community-Based Organization through the Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty (EPAHP) Program, delivers 15 sacks of 25kg V-160 rice and 5 sacks of 25kg Tonner rice to Princity Incorporated – Prosperidad Branch, the newly engaged private demand partner of EPAHP.
The said delivery is more than just a business exchange, rather, it represents the heart of what EPAHP aims to achieve—strengthening connections between Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) and demand partners, to build more resilient and self-sustaining communities, reduce poverty, mitigate hunger and ensure food and nutrition security.
Through these partnerships, EPAHP fosters relationships that go beyond the simple transaction of goods. For private demand partners like Princity Incorporated, sourcing from local CBOs means directly contributing to the economic well-being of the community while receiving fresh, high-quality products. It’s a way for businesses to give back, ensuring that the money they spend stays within the community, helping local farmers and boosting the local economy.
For the CBOs, partnerships like these open new doors, allowing them to grow their network and enhance their impact. By reaching more demand partners, they secure stable income streams, enabling them to expand their operations, improve their farming practices, and invest in their future. These relationships help elevate the livelihoods of the farmers and, in turn, strengthen the broader agricultural sector.
