The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga, through the Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty (EPAHP) Program, has successfully facilitated the forging of a partnership between three Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) with the CFC School of the Morning Star, Inc. today, November 7, 2024.

This collaboration was formalized through the signing of a new marketing agreement between the school and the CBOs, namely; Lower Agusan River Pump Irrigation System (LARPIS), Fisherfolks Initiative for Sustainable Harvest Fishermen Cooperative (Fish Coop), and Tabuan Vendors Consumers Cooperative (TAVECC). The agreement strengthens community networks and broadens the shared mission to support local organizations in the region.

Under this partnership, the CBOs will supply the school with milled rice, fresh bangus (milk fish), and various vegetables. This initiative aims to generate increased income for the organizations while supporting local agricultural economies and ensuring the school receives high-quality, locally sourced products from the fishermen and farmers.
