Residents of the Home for Girls (HFG) and the Regional Rehabilitation Center for Youth (RRCY) under the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga received an early dose of holiday cheer during the “Balik Sigla Bigay Saya” activity spearheaded by the Office of the President.

The event, held today December 8, 2024, was part of a nationwide initiative to spread the spirit of Christmas to children and youth across the Philippines, particularly those in need of care and support. In collaboration with the DSWD and local grassroots organizations, the activity featured simultaneous gift-giving ceremonies aimed at fostering joy and creating cherished memories among the young beneficiaries.

DSWD Caraga Regional Director underscored the significance of the event, stating that it highlights the governmentโ€™s commitment to ensuring no child is left behind, especially during the festive season.

The activity brought smiles and laughter to the residents of the HFG and RRCY, who expressed their gratitude for the thoughtful gifts and the chance to celebrate the holidays early in a festive atmosphere filled with hope and kindness.
