A total of 5,339 Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4PS) Beneficiaries received cash grants through the Enhanced Support Services Intervention (ESSI) Cash-for-Work (CFW) Pay-out. Conducted throughout the 5 provinces of Caraga Region, the ESSI CFW Payout was able to disperse a total amount of P20,235,462.00 as of October 18, 2024.
The payouts were successfully managed by the Regional Program Management Office (4Ps RPMO) of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga. Priority was given to households identified as “low-hanging fruit,” as well as those classified as Level 1 or 2 according to the Social Welfare and Development Indicator under the 4Ps Program. 4Ps RPMO of DSWD Field Office Caraga developed the ESSI-CFW intervention to address basic needs by converging various programs and services, ensuring that beneficiaries are well-prepared to comply with the conditions set by the program. Moreover, ESSI focuses on uplifting and improving the overall well-being of its partner beneficiaries through intensive case management, with particular attention given to observing program safeguards, especially for indigenous peoples (IPs) and homeless families.
The successful implementation of the ESSI Cash-for-Work payout highlights DSWD Caraga’s commitment to supporting the most vulnerable sectors in the region. By providing financial assistance alongside vital social services, the program not only addresses immediate needs but also fosters long-term empowerment for beneficiaries. Moving forward, DSWD Field Office Caraga remains dedicated to ensuring that the benefits of this program reach more households, especially those in marginalized communities, strengthening resilience and paving the way for a better quality of life for families across Caraga.
