The Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga convened its program partners for the SLP Kabalikat Stakeholders’ Forum on February 27, 2025, at Dotties Place in Butuan City.

The forum is a valuable platform for the SLP’s partners to showcase essential interventions, offering participants more livelihood opportunities and development. Moreover, the event served to highlight the program’s key milestones, emphasizing its achievements and progress in giving impactful outcomes for the program participants and their community.
“With your support, we are confident that our initiatives go beyond simply providing assistance to the beneficiaries; it nurtures a sense of hope and empowerment, equipping individuals with the resources and support needed to create lasting positive change in their lives,” remarked DSWD Caraga Assistant Regional Director for Administration (ARDA) Tristan Telen.
Apart from the thorough discussions and imparting each other’s insights, the activity exhibited the program’s significant milestones through the unveiling of two significant projects: The Paglambo, showcasing Stories of Change, Growth, and Empowerment, which highlights the transformative journeys of participants; and SLP Gama Caraga, a curated compilation of products crafted by SLP associations. These initiatives present the remarkable progress and creativity of the program participants.
In addition, a showcase of locally made products crafted by SLP participants was featured during the event, highlighting their innovative skills and entrepreneurial spirit.
During the activity, the partners reinforced their dedication to the program by signing the Pledge of Commitment Wall, symbolizing their continued support and collaborative efforts toward its success.
Furthermore, ARDA Telen extended his thanks to the partners for their invaluable contribution to the program’s milestones, noting how the added diversity of aid has greatly enhanced the effectiveness and impact of the SLP’s programs and services to its participants.
“Thank you once again for being part of this journey. These accomplishments wouldn’t be possible without your support. May the connections we’ve built today continue to grow, paving the way to an innovative Sustainable Livelihood Program that leaves no one behind. Together, let us continue to be ‘Kabalikat sa Pag-unlad’ (Partners in Development),” he added.
This forum coincides with the transition from the old SLP omnibus guidelines under Memorandum Circular No. 07 to the new guidelines outlined in Memorandum Circular No. 03 where one of its key objectives is to strengthen the bond with program partners to further amplify the promotion of its milestones. These new set of guidelines ensure a clear understanding of the program’s implementation and significance.
