Partner beneficiaries of Project LAWA at BINHI in Barangay San Antonio, Libjo, Province of Dinagat Islands, are now reaping the rewards of their hard work.

As shown in the photos below, the Melody Poultry Farm and Vegetable Farmers Association are harvesting their homegrown vegetables. A portion will be used for their daily meals, while the majority will be sold in the local market, providing additional income for their families.

With this bountiful harvest, LAWA at BINHI—Local Adaptation to Water Access and Breaking Insufficiency through Nutritious Harvest for the Impoverished—continues to achieve its goal of empowering communities to grow their food, ensuring food security, and creating livelihood opportunities.

As more communities like San Antonio begin to reap the benefits of the project, LAWA at BINHI of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga stands as a testament to the power of community-driven development and the resilience of grassroots partnerships.
