Division Chief Aldie Mae Andoy during the courtesy visit to the local government unit of Madrid.
To ensure the smooth implementation of Project LAWA at BINHI and evaluate the readiness of local government stockpiles, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga, through its Disaster Response Management Division (DRMD), conducted a courtesy visit and random stockpile monitoring in Madrid, Surigao del Sur.
The team, spearheaded by Division Chief Aldie Mae Andoy, centered the discussion on securing commitments and budget support essential for the successful implementation of Project LAWA at BINHI (Local Adaptation to Water Access and Breaking Insufficiency through Nutritious Harvest for the Impoverished), particularly in addressing local concerns and ensuring readiness on the ground.
With this, it was verified that the municipality’s stockpile is sufficient to the preparedness measures in the event of untoward incidents.

This initiative reflects the strong partnership between the DSWD and the local government unit of Madrid in promoting water access and food security for vulnerable and underserved communities.
