The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga is currently hosting the Centers and Residental Care Facilities (CRCFs) Mid-Year Program Implementation Review (PIR) at Go Hotels Butuan City – May 6, 2025.
In her welcoming address, DSWD FO Caraga Regional Director Mari-Flor Dollaga set a collaborative and forward-looking tone for the event. She emphasized the importance of honest assessment and continuous improvement, stating, “This review provides us with a valuable opportunity to take stock of our progress, identify what’s working well, and, more importantly, pinpoint areas where we can improve. Let’s be honest with ourselves. We’re not perfect. There will be challenges, there will be roadblocks. But by coming together, sharing our experiences, and learning from each other, we can collectively find innovative solutions and strengthen our programs.”
Director Dollaga further encouraged active participation and open dialogue among the attendees. “Let’s use this time to have open and honest discussions. Let’s challenge assumptions, share best practices, and forge stronger collaborations. Remember, we are all part of the same DSWD family, working towards the same noble goal: to empower and uplift the lives of the Filipino people,” she added.
The activity, which commenced today in Butuan City, aims to review the progress of commitments from the previous year, present the mid-year accomplishments of the CRCFs in financial management, and identify areas for improvement in residential and center-based program implementation.
The venue is filled with dedicated individuals from various regions across the Philippines. Participants include engineers, HR professionals, budget officers, social workers, and administrative support staff. The review is expected to foster a unified approach towards enhancing the care and support provided by DSWD facilities nationwide.
