In partnership and with the strong support from the Protective Services Division of DSWD Field Office Caraga, spearheaded by Division Chief Jessie Catherine Aranas, members of ERPATS-MOVE, composed of Male DSWD Field Office Staff, underwent sessions and discussions aimed at strategizing and strengthening the structure and objectives of the organization.
“Before we strategize, let us remember our WHY —WHY ERPATS MOVE exists,” DSWD FO Caraga Assistant Regional Director for Administration (ARDA) Tristan Telen (who is also the concurrent ERPATS-MOVE Caraga Inc. President) expressed in his opening message. ARDA Telen further conveyed that the vision of the organization must be anchored on building a future where fathers, father figures, and male advocates stand firm against violence and lead their homes and communities with courage, compassion, and conviction.
DC Aranas, together with other discussants focused on activities and discussions which would lead the organization in building a long-term impact and strengthen the movement by charting its path for 2025-2028, especially in coming up with different activities that would further empower its members.
One of the immediate plans is to increase the number of trained ERPATS-MOVE members who will serve as resource speakers to help in involving other offices and agencies (even the LGUs) organize and start their ERPATS-MOVE journeys.
