The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga, through the Protective Services Division (PSD) Sectoral Unit, conducted the 2025 Child Development Workers Week Celebration for Child Development Workers in Caraga today, June 27.
The activity served as an avenue for Daycare Workers to participate and gain a shared understanding of how to identify, assess, and refer child protection cases, hence guaranteeing a coordinated, efficient, and child-centered approach to protecting children’s rights and well-being. It also sought to boost Child Development Workers’ morale and motivation, encouraging a feeling of gratitude and importance for their work.
The highlight of the activity was the series of discussions intended to clarify the child protection referral mechanism. These discussions ensured that participants acquired the necessary knowledge, skills, and confidence to identify, assess, and refer cases of child abuse, neglect, or exploitation, following established protocols and procedures, ensuring the best interests of children are upheld and referrals are made promptly and effectively.
DSWD Regional Director Mari-Flor Dollaga expressed her support for the event by sending a message of appreciation and thanks.
“Mula sa buong pamunuan ng DSWD Field Office Caraga, kami ay taos-pusong nagpapasalamat sa inyong walang-sawang paglilingkod para sa kapakanan ng bawat batang Pilipino.”
