Agusan del Sur – The members of Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) of Agusan del Sur headed by Vice-Governor Santi B. Cane, Jr. conferred about the Listahanan database of poor families on September 01, 2014 in SP Session Hall, Patin-ay, Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur.
During the session, the Listahanan team led by the Regional Focal Person Dante S. Rosales discussed to the body the project cycle on how the system identified the poor families.
“A good targeting system ensures that the limited resources of social protection programs benefit those who really need assistance,” Rosales emphasized.
SP members were enlightened by the salient features of the project. The body also decided to further study the proposals on data-sharing partnership.
Moreover, on August 27, 2014 at ARDA’s office, Assistant Regional Director for Administration and Listahanan Deputy Regional Project Manager Nerisa T. Murih had an exclusive meeting with the Sangguniang Panlungsod member Susan G. Gerona of District 1, Agusan del Sur.
Murih disclosed the data that out of 232,301 identified poor households in the region, there are now 181,480 poor households who have availed at least two (2) social welfare development (SWD) programs.
Murih also mentioned that through Listahanan, Caraganons benefitted from the Government’s social protection programs and services like; Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program, Kalahi-CIDSS, Sustainable Livelihood Program, Social Pension and Supplementary Feeding Program. Also, Listahanan database has been utilized by the Department’s partner agency, PhilHealth for their PhilHealth cards.
With a signed Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and the requesting party, the official list is shared with data users to serve as their guide in selecting beneficiaries for their social protection programs.
Listahanan is an information management system that identifies who and where the poor are. ###
