Butuan City – Nine (9) new recipient municipalities of Kalahi-CIDSS in Caraga region recently underwent a weeklong training on the Kalahi-CIDSS’ community empowerment activity cycle (CEAC) that will guide LGUs in their implementation of the project, July 2-6.
Forming as the LGU’s counterpart, the municipal area coordinating (MCT) teams from RTR and Kitcharao of Agusan del Norte; Mainit, Alegria, Tubod, Burgos, Sta. Monica, and Del Carmen of Surigao del Norte; and Lingig of Surigao del Sur received a comprehensive discussion of the critical stages of CEAC.
The training conducted by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Caraga is a continuation of a two-part basic orientation and capability building intervention for these LGUs.
Discussion of the remaining stages of CEAC included project identification, selection, and planning stage (1); and project approval stage (2).
CEAC is the implementing strategy adopted by DSWD in carrying out activities that ensure participatory, transparency and accountability to all stakeholders involved in the project. ### (Social Marketing Unit)
