Barangay Cuarinta residents will now enjoy the shelter and protection of their newly completed Community Evacuation Center recently completed through the community’s unified efforts in their engagement with Kapit-Bisig Laban sa Kahirapan – Comprehensive and Integrated Delivery of Social Services (Kalahi-CIDSS).

Barangay Cuarinta, considered as the highest-elevation in the municipality of San Jose, Province of Dinagat Islands, is prone to strong winds and landslides, especially during occurrence of typhoons and bad weathers. Now, residents of Brgy. Cuarinta, and the neighboring barangays may now be catered in this 126 square-meters wide facility which is complete with comfort rooms, isolation room, and lactating mothers’ room, ready to house 130-140 individuals.
