DSC_0666Elma B. Tal-ang, a resident of Brgy. Bangayan, Kitcharao, Agusan del Norte, shares through a statement card her thoughts on security and peace as keys to achieving sustainable development. “Ako ay para sa kapayapaan dahil gusto ko ng kaunlaran (I am for peace because I want progress),” she writes.

As a mother who has children going to H.V Dagani Elementary School, she was one of the community volunteers who helped in the completion of the school’s Learning Center implemented under Kalahi-CIDSS PAMANA. The said center is now utilized as waiting place for parents and as venue for students in holding several school programs.

PAyapa at MAsaganang PamayaNAn or PAMANA is one of the national government’s programs that is committed to extending development interventions to hard-to-reach and conflicted communities ensuring inclusive development.###(APRIL MAE N.
