Grade 1 students of Jaliobong Elementary School (Kitcharao, Agusan del Norte) are grateful for their newly-completed classroom buildings made possible through the efforts of their community.
The sub-project, which was funded by the Kapit-Bisig Laban sa Kahirapan- Comprehensive and Integrated Delivery of Social Services (Kalahi-CIDSS) program, in partnership with the municipal and barangay local government units, will now be the second home of these children. The hopes and dreams of the future generations – of Kitcharao will now be molded in the four corners of these classrooms.
Thirty two (32) classrooms have been completed during the 1st cycle implementation of the National Community Driven Development Project, and 18 classrooms under the Government of Australia – Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (GOA-DFAT) partnership. These sub-projects are in support to the supply side needs of the communities and will address the problem on classroom shortages
