Members of Caraga Adoptive and Foster Parents Support Group (CAFPSG) take their oath as support to strengthen legal adoption, as one of the lead services of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD)-Caraga.

The oath taking led by Division Chief Ramel Jamen happened during the Culmination of the Adoption Consciousness Celebration at LJ Mega Convention, Butuan City on February 27, 2017 with the theme “Pagmamahal Palaganapin, Legal na Pag-aampon Ating Gawin” (Spread Unconditional Love Through Legal Adoption).

Part of the commitment of the said support group is to provide avenues to prospective adoptive and foster parents by sharing their experiences and insights about parenting as well as to nurture place for adoptive and foster families. The CAFPSG is initiated by DSWD to answer foster-related issues and to advocate more adoptive and foster families by providing alternative parental care. ###(ABEGAIL R.
