With his face contorted with anger and his voice raised in frustration, Arlan M. Sanico performed his role as an enraged stakeholder in an intense confrontation with a Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Kapit Bisig Laban sa Kahirapan-Comprehensive and Integrated Delivery of Social Services (Kalahi-CIDSS) program worker. He and his groupmates were engaged in a role-play exercise simulating a realistic crisis scenario. This was just one of the interactive activities included in the Crisis Communication Workshop participated by Kalahi-CIDSS Caraga Regional and Sub-Regional workers.
Four (4) batches have already undergone a three-day training on a series of schedules which started last October 23, 2017 at Goat 2 Geder Hotel and Restaurant, Butuan City. Since DSWD Kalahi-CIDSS is a multi-stakeholder program, the risk of potential emergent adverse circumstances that the agency could plausibly face is high. Hence, the workshop was designed to prepare field workers for crises arising from the program implementation in their respective areas and enhance their skills on how to effectively manage and navigate through them.
