In the recently conducted culmination of the 67th anniversary celebration of DSWD on February 2, 2018 held at the Central Office in Quezon City, the Field office Caraga bagged 2nd place in the National Knowledge Management Productivity, Recognition, Incentives and Development for Effectiveness (KM PRIDE) Award.

Ty, and Social Marketing Unit Head/KM Alternate Focal Person Eunice M. Plaza represented OIC Regional Director Mita Chuchi Gupana-Lim in receiving the plaque for the award.
The DSWD-Caraga got the said national recognition with its proposed activity which is pilot testing the Project REALMS (Reaching, Expanding and Accessing Learning Through Learning Management System).
Project REALMS is a breakthrough concept of the DSWD-Caraga KM Team and Capacity Building Unit with key writers Training Specialist/RLC Manager Maria Teresa Ole and RLC IT staff Jen Eric Domingo. It is an online learning management system, which introduces basic modular courses on the most requested training interventions such as Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) and Camp Coordination and Camp Management.
The system is anchored in the Regional Learning Commons (RLC) and it is expected that the project will also contribute to the library’s popularization and functionality.
On the other hand, OIC-RD Lim received a KM champion award while Regional Training Specialist Ty, a KM Catalyst award. The said recognitions are to acknowledge their dynamic contribution in ensuring that the DSWD-Caraga maintain an environment for continuing innovation and learning, knowledge sharing, trusting, and communicating.
The purpose of the KM PRIDE Award is to recognize the DSWD field offices’ efforts in promoting effective and efficient KM implementation in the Department. ###(Social Marketing Unit/DSWD Field Office Caraga)
