BUTUAN CITY – The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) trained 52 4Ps Local Government Unit (LGU) Link Officers on Family Development Session (FDS) on December 7-10, 2010 at Goat2geder Hotel and Restaurant, Butuan City.

The LGU links are the counterparts of DSWD’s Municipal Link Officers (MLO) in the implementation of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps).

The training aimed to equip the LGU Links the basic knowledge and skills on how to conduct FDS in their respective municipalities and barangays. Aside from the LGU, some newly hired 4Ps Municipal Link Officers (MLOs) for set 4 areas were also trained.

Some of the topics discussed were: Child Development, Building Children’s Positive Behavior, Responsible Parenthood, Laws Affecting the Filipino Family, Overview on Training Development and Management Cycle and Effective Facilitation. # # # (Social Marketing Unit)
