BUTUAN CITY – The Department of Social Welfare and Development Caraga Region has conducted a series of technical writing workshops to enhance the knowledge of the workers of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program on technical writing. The series of activities were done on April5-8, 13-14 and 26-27 at Amontay, Beach Resort, Nasipit, Agusan del Norte.
A total of 163 workers underwent the said workshops, which were facilitated by Mr. Eval Makinano, Regional Training Coordinator; Ramil Taculod, Management Audit Analyst; and Sarah Jane Lucero, Pantawid Pamilya Project Development Officer. Topics discussed included the common grammar mistakes, characteristics of technical writing, project proposal writing and how to document training. Quizzes and exercises followed every after discussion to measure the knowledge gained by the participants.
“It is important to have this kind of workshop to refresh our knowledge on grammar, writing reports and proposal making,” said Erlyn Salinas, Regional Focal Person for Beneficiary Update System. ### (Social Marketing Unit)
