cct set 6Butuan City-“The Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program, the Philippines’ version of Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT) is set to register 17,635 set 6 beneficiaries in Caraga region this year. The city of Butuan has the highest number of set 6 targets with a total of 4, 422 potential beneficiaries from the 43 additional barangays,” announced Director Mercedita P. Jabagat of DSWD Caraga.

To prepare the new Pantawid Pamilya barangays in Butuan City, the DSWD Field Office has recently conducted a program orientation to set 6 barangay officials of Butuan on August 28, 2012 at the barangay Doongan gymnasium. Health workers and some staff from the City Social Welfare Office attended the said activity.

 

The orientation was aimed at providing information to the participants for them to understand the nature, coverage, guidelines and conditionalities of the Pantawid Pamilya; to recognize the importance of the three systems of the program; to appreciate the roles and functions of both partners in the conduct of set 6 registration and in Pantawid Pamilya implementation; organize working teams at the barangay level, finalizing the schedule and venues of the community assembly; and to identify issues and concerns and recommend solutions.

The validation and registration of set 6 beneficiaries will start in September 2012. Potential beneficiaries who are in the master lists are required to bring the following: marriage contracts or birth certificates of the grantees including the children. Potential beneficiaries are no longer required to bring a 1×1 and 2×2 ID photos. Pictures for the Pantawid Pamilya ID and for the contract will be taken by the DSWD workers during the registration proper.
