BUTUAN CITY – Special recognition were given by the Department of Social Welfare and Development Caragara region to individuals and organizations that have helped the poor and disadvantaged individuals, families and communities, during the Department’s 62nd founding anniversary celebration on January 21, 2013.
The awardees who have extended help to different sectors included 19 individuals, 11 P/MLGUs and 1 CSO, 1 sectoral organization, 2 NGAs and 4 media partners. Awards were also given to DSWD officials and staff who have rendered 10 to 35 years of dedicated service. The awarding of citations was held at the Goat2geder Hotel and Restaurant, Montalban Street, Butuan City.
DSWD Caraga’s celebration was graced by Undersecretary Mateo G. Montano and attended by representatives of regional line agencies, local government units, civil society organizations, media and field office staff.
The Department marked its 62nd year in public service with the theme, “DSWD @ 62: Sama-samang Husay Tungo sa Tagumpay.”
