Butuan City – Students are in for a challenge as the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) invites the academe in a logo-making contest for its new program, the National Community-Driven Development Program (NCDDP).
The contest will run from July 12 -26 and is open to students of colleges and universities who have the talent all over the country.
Regional Director for DSWD Caraga, Minda B. Brigoli said that the logo should reflect the essence of NCDDP and should have the name of the program in the design. It should also be designed to match the image of DSWD.
The logo can be designed in the medium of choice of the contestant but the final copy has to be submitted in digital format. Each contestant can submit a maximum of three designs.
The winning design will be used as the official logo of the national program and the winning designer will also receive Php 10,000.00 as prize money.
The NCDDP is the scale-up of the operations of the community-driven development approach used and proven effective by the Kapit-Bisig Laban sa Kahirapan – Comprehensive and Integrated Delivery of Social Services (Kalahi-CIDSS).
CDD empowers ordinary citizens to actively and directly participate in local governance by identifying their own community needs, planning, implementing, and monitoring projects to address local poverty issues collectively.
