Butuan City – Workers of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) are enjoined by the Office of Strategy Management to submit photos which present scenes reflecting the three (3) Strategic Goals of the agency for its promotion.
The Frame it Up- Photo Essay Contest was conceptualized to check the awareness and understanding of the DSWD workforce about the 3SGs while inciting creativity of expression among them by way of photography.
The contest runs from August to September 22, 2013 and is open to all employees of DSWD Central Offices and Field Offices regardless of appointment status, position on gender.
Photo entries are expected to mirror the three (3) SGs which are the following: (1) Raise the status of 2.3 million Pantawid Pamilya families’ self- sufficiency level by 2016; (2) Increase the number of NHTS-PR identified poor families covered by at least 2 SWD programs from 3.9 M to 5.2 M; and (3) Increase the number of provinces with majority of their municipalities/cities having a fully-functioning LSWDO from 0 to 40 by 2016.
Prizes and plaques await the winners. Winning photo entries will be featured in DSWD’s IEC Materials, cover photo of annual report, materials for the presentation of Strategic Goals and the like and will also be published in OSMs official Facebook page.
DSWD is the country’s government agency which advocates a better quality of life among the Filipino race through extending assistance to the poor, vulnerable and disadvantaged. It is the home of prime poverty-alleviation programs which are Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps), Sustainable Livelihood Programs (SLP) and Kapit-Bisig Laban sa Kahirapan- Comprehensive and Integrated Delivery of Social Services (Kalahi-CIDSS).
