Butuan City – A series of consultation dialogue was conducted to the five(5) provinces of Caraga region namely; Agusan del Norte, Agusan del Sur, Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, and the Province of Dinagat Islands on April 23 to May 2, 2014.

The activity was spearheaded by the Assistant Regional Director for administration and Deputy Regional Project Manager of Listahanan, Nerisa T. Murih. She pronounced the special validation for the indigent senior citizens and those families in need of special protection.

“I am thankful that you accepted our invitation in this consultation dialogue and to share with you the Listahanan database of poor families. As our partners in delivering the social welfare and development programs to our beneficiaries, I encouraged you to utilize the data in giving and implementing the programs and services in your Municipalities,” Murih said.

“Listahanan also ensures that all potential beneficiaries who are not yet in our database will be assessed, that is why, we ask your support in this special validation,” she added.

For Social Pensioners it will legitimize the resumption of payment of monthly stipends which is P 500.00 and the inclusion of Modified Conditional cash Transfer-Families in Need of Special Protection (MCCT-FNSP) beneficiaries in the regular Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program.

Angelita B. Amista, Division Chief of Institutional Development Division and Protective Services Unit expounded the Social Pension Guidelines and Mandates and Gelyn T. Valera, Focal Person of MCCT-FNSP deliberated about the program.

This activity was attended and headed by the Sangguniang Bayan(SB) Members, Municipal Social Welfare Development Officers (MSWDOs), and Municipal Planning Development Officers.

More so, this is a challenge in our part as we serve our constituents and as we prosper in unity),” SP Member, Gina A. Ceballos, District I, Agusan del Sur said.
