CARAGA- Three hundred sixty-three (363) field workers, hired by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Caraga, are now deployed to the identified municipalities for the 2014 implementation of the Kapit-Bisig Laban sa Kahirapan- Comprehensive and Integrated Delivery of Social Services- National Community-Driven Development Program (KALAHI CIDSS- NCDDP).
For the on board of the said program, the DSWD positioned an Area Coordinating Team (ACT) in every municipality to facilitate the project implementation.
Each ACT is composed of an Area Coordinator (AC), a Technical Facilitator (TF) and a Community Finance Facilitator (CFF) for every 25 barangays, and a Community Empowerment Facilitator (CEF) for every 3 to 4 barangays.
These field workers were already convened for orientation and contract signing with DSWD.
“They were deployed in their area of assignments right after orientation and project briefing,” said Regional Director Minda B. Brigoli.
She added that the staffing requirement for field operations was completed early this month.
“The Regional Program Management Office (RPMO) also ensured that these workers will prepare and submit their Work Plan and Individual Contract Review from July to December 2014 and each of them strategized to meet with their specific teams,” reported Assistant Regional Director for Operations Mita G. Lim.
The ACTs are now stationed at their assigned municipalities and they are now facilitating the enrollment of the local government units (LGUs) to the KC-NCDDP- a prelude before both parties will enter into a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA). ###(Social Marketing Unit/DSWD Field Office Caraga)
