Butuan City– Eight (8) outstanding workers of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Caraga received accolades during the 64th anniversary celebration of DSWD on January 29, 2015 held at DSWD Central Office, Quezon City.
These workers were included in the top 3 nominees in the national level. Together with one of their family members, they were invited to attend the national office’s anniversary celebration.
Assistant Regional Director for Operations Mita G. Lim, Assistant Regional Director for Administration Nerisa T. Murih, and Administrative Officer Ramel F. Jamen, were the national winners for the Best Assistant Manager, Best Division Chief (Technical), and Best Support Staff (Professional) categories respectively.
Each of them received a plaque of recognition and a cash award.
Regional Director Minda B. Brigoli proudly expressed her congratulations to the other top 3 nominees namely Mary Ann M. Manla (Best Division Chief-Support), Jean Paul P. Parajes (Best Technical Staff-Professional), Melanie G. Juan (Best Social Worker), Jay G. Galleron (Best Technical Staff-Sub-Professional), and Genevieve M. Obut (Best Support Staff-Sub-Professional).
Honorable Secretary Corazon-Juliano Soliman personally handed the awards to the outstanding workers.
They will again be recognized in the upcoming regional celebration of DSWD’s 64th anniversary on February 17, 2015 in Almont Hotel’s Inland Resort, Butuan City.
The theme for this year’s celebration is, “DSWD@64: Tuloy sa Pagbangon at Pag-unlad”. ###(Social Marketing Unit)
