Butuan City- The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD)-Caraga bagged four (4) major awards during the national mid-year program review and evaluation workshop (PREW) of the Kapit-Bisig Laban sa Kahirapan-Comprehensive and Integrated Delivery of Social Services (Kalahi-CIDSS) program held at AIM Conference Center, Makati City on July 14, 2015.
Headed by Assistant Regional Director for Operations Mita G. Lim, Caraga program manager, the regional team received the plaques of recognition for the following awards: best PAMANA 2014 implementation, best BUB implementation of sub-projects in 2013-2014, highest community grants disbursed in medium category, 1st semester 2015, and over-all highest community grants disbursed for the 1st semester 2015 across all categories.
The national management has noted and recognized that the Caraga team has managed to surpass its disbursement target for the first half of CY2015 with its 103% disbursement rate accomplishment.
During the awarding ceremony, Honorable Secretary Corazon Juliano-Soliman together with Kalahi-CIDSS national program manager Benilda E. Redaja, personally handed the plaques to the consultants and unit focals of the Program in the region.
Regional Director Minda B. Brigoli also expressed her congratulations to the Area Coordinating Teams (ACTs), local partners, and community volunteers whose contributions are highly significant for the field office to achieve the awards.
“These awards only show the kind of work that the workers and stakeholders of Kalahi-CIDSS in Caraga do. These are fruits of making convergence happen in the region. My warmest congratulations to the Kalahi-CIDSS team and to its active partners.” said Brigoli.
Kalahi-CIDSS is an anti-poverty program of DSWD along with the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino and Sustainable Livelihood programs.
