As the counterparts of the Area Coordinating Teams (ACT) in the program implementation, Kalahi-CIDSS Regional Program Management Office (RPMO) acknowledges the importance of capacitating the MCTs to ensure that the program implementation will be successfully conducted at the municipal level. The said training will ensure that both the ACT and the MCT will harmoniously co-exist in their respective areas.
The hiring of the MCT is one of the conditionality in the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between DSWD and the municipal local government units (MLGUs) to ensure that the program will be properly conducted, monitored and implemented. This ensures that the community will reap the benefits of the program.
The Kalahi-CIDSS is a poverty alleviation program of the national government implemented by the DSWD. It aims to have barangays/communities of targeted municipalities become empowered to achieve improved access to services and to participate in more inclusive local planning, budgeting, and implementation. ###(MARKO DAVEY D.
